The region holds many types of climate zones. Temperate valleys, high altitude mountains and volcanoes, dry and wet subtropical valleys and others. The temperature is almost invariable along the year but there may be differences between the different climate zones.
It has been a year of hard work where we have made lots of improvements based on your valuable feedback and we are thrilled to hear that our travelers rank this experience 100% excellent and recommendable to other travelers.

Thinking on our clients´ needs we have improve in the following services:
• New panoramic wagon with 24 passengers’ capacity with will allow us to have bigger groups on board. The total capacity of the train is 58 passengers.
• Specially thinking in one day tours, we have rescheduled the departure time and order of visits, nowadays we start visiting the Otavalo indigenous market and then the train ride to Salinas.
• The ride will be more stylish from now on. We have changed the snack and passengers will enjoy some appetizers before boarding the train and then the chance to toast with champagne while enjoying the astonishing view of the Imbabura province during a stop to take pictures and relax.
• The community of Salinas is implementing the “Museum of Salt” and will show the tourists the process to obtain salt, an activity their ancestors did for living.
• New face of the community of Salinas. The houses have been painted and decorated.
• For family departures there will be special activities for children. |
